One of my treats for finishing the first 5 items in my Project Pan series was purchasing this gorgeous smelling scrub by Soap and Glory. I'd been eyeing it for such a long while, and after many recommendations I felt like I really needed to get my hands on it. So when I finished up my first scrub in Project Pan (of which I've just finished the other scrub too, so watch out for that in my next update), I decided to take the plunge and buy it.
It smells like Pancakes with Maple Syrup - what in heavens could go wrong?!
God, don't you just love brand new products looking all perfect and smooth?!
This stuff literally smells incredibly epic. It oozes scent from the moment you remove the lid, so if you don't like maple I definitely wouldn't recommend this one. However being an american child, I'm all about it.
Packed with good ingredients like Oat, Sugar and Shea Butter, this product promises to be something special. It also contains banana, almond and honey extracts. Does this not sound like a food treat for your skin because if anything it at least sounds like music to my ears.
The product is more of a dense paste than anything else. A little goes a long way but I always like to be generous. It's unlike other scrubs I've used in the past because it literally just feels like scrub particles. There is no gel base or creamy lotion with bits in it - just pure scrub. Because of this, it can feel quite intense and abrasive on the skin. I certainly wouldn't use this product more than once a week because of that.
As you'd imagine, it's like an explosion of scents in the shower. Once buffed into the skin it becomes a bit thinner and can turn a little milky. It washes away a dream and you are left with the softest skin you've ever known. I certainly feel the hydration from the Shea Butter lingering after, which is really enjoyable, but I still like to moisturise afterwards to give myself that little bit extra hydration.
Over all, I'm really pleased with this product. It completely does the job and smells like such a treat. The last Soap and Glory scrub I used, Flake Away, wasn't as good. I felt put off of trying future products like it from the brand. So thank you to everyone that recommended this to me, changed my opinon and made me fall in love with Soap and Glory all over again.
