Boots 3 for 2 got me again! As soon as I walked into the store, there on a pretty little stand was No7's new launch of cream blushers. This was never going to end well for my purse.
After swatching all 3 shades (a small selection, no?) I settled for Rose Blossom which is the pinkest of them all. I'm always drawn to the pink shades as I feel like they flatter my pale complexion the most. Having said that Legendary Powder Blush by Mac is much more of a peachy gold pink and that is one of my all-time favourites.
Speaking of which, I have never owned a cream blusher before. As soon as I hear the word cream I steer clear as my combo/oily skin doesn't take well to it. However when I swatched these on my hand they didn't feel greasy at all. In fact, once blended they almost felt powder-like which a sure and certain factor in me purchasing one.
I was a little concerned about applying a cream blush over my powder foundation as I just feel it could get rather cakey. Therefore during this last week where I've been trying this out, I've reached for my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation as a base. I simply swipe a bit of this straight from the tube up the sides of my cheeks and blend with my fingertips. It works into the cheeks flawlessly to leave a really natural finish.
A little goes a really long way. It's definitely a buildable colour but I find that on my pale complexion, only a tiny bit is needed as it can be quite bright. Either way, I'm really loving the ease and simplicity of applying this blush. It's such a quick and effortless product that I think will look fabulous for that fresh-faced spring and summer look. It doesn't make my skin loo greasy or cakey and it lasts all day. So over all, yeah, I'm really liking this :)
