Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack

Last Christmas my parents gifted me a loved Facetime Gift Set by Soap and Glory. The set describes itself as the perfect starter kit for all skin types so I really couldn't go wrong. Normally I don't buy into the products that are suitable for everyone but so far I've really enjoyed what I've tried out.

The first product I reviewed from the box was the Smooch Operator Lip Butter Balm. I compared this to the likes of Dior's Creme De Rose. That pretty much tells you all you need to know about that! I've been testing out this little eye gel too and have come to the conclusion that it's pretty blooming amazing.

At first I was a little confused by the texture of the gel. It felt a lot like the kind of jelly I like to eat. I'm not joking, it literally bounced in the pot when I went to dab my finger in it. The sight of a product do that instantly brought me back a step. I'm usually pretty dubious about putting new products near and around my eyes as it is. My skin can quite sensitive and often reacts to different ingredients. Therefore a bouncy gel certainly rang alarm bells. Having said that, the more I use it the less bouncy it is - thankfully.

It applies more like water than a gel. It's extremely thin and a little goes a seriously long way. I barely have to touch my finger in the pot and I have enough product to treat both eyes. I simply dab this on under my eyes like I would with any other eye cream and let it work its magic.

I don't generally get bags which are too bad if I'm honest. I will often have puffy eyes in the morning from lack of sleep but they are rarely dark. Baring that in mind, for me, this product works wonders. Once I've applied the gel I feel like I'm magically watching my puffy eyes reduce in size. They look a lot more smoothed out and brighter and I love it!

With this product being so good at depuffing, I think its understandable for me to doubt its hydrating qualities. Surely the product can't be a good all rounder - especially considering how thin the gel really is. However that is simply not the case. My under eye area is actually kept well hydrated throughout the day. I don't see any evidence of my concealer looking dry and creased which is the first thing I notice with a bad eye cream. It's simply become my wonder product and has become permanent part of my everyday skincare routine. At the moment I use this in the morning and am finishing off my Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado at night. My eyebags sure can't complain about lack of nourishment, thats for sure!

I think the next product I'll try from the Facetime Gift Set will be their face wipes! Watch this space!

  1. This sounds rather nice, I haven't dabbled in Soap and Glory skincare for the best part of a year now I would say. I think I need to go back and see what they now have as I bet half the range has changed.
