As you may know from my Youtube video a week ago, I love me some body scrubs. I have been testing out all different kinds recently since the concept of a body scrub has been a new discovery for me. Until early this year, I'd never really thought about using a body scrub for exfoliation. I had always used the exfoliating side of a body sponge and figured that was sufficient. However using a body scrub has my opened my eyes to a world of softer skin. Plus, why not pamper yourself at the same time with a product that cleanses your skin and smells heavenly too?!
I love Rituals products and this scrub is no exception. It smells divine and feels really luxurious too. Anyone that likes citrus scents will love this. Having said that, it has a background hit of cedar too which gives the product an edge and makes it feel more spa-like. It's quite thick in texture but applies smoothly to the skin so that you can buff away without it being too heavy.
Removing the dead skin cells makes your skin look fresher and younger, but this scrub aims to cleanse and soothe the skin at the same time, to give you a much softer finish. I honestly couldn't agree with that fact more. If you get irritated by shaving, this product is quite good at soothing that if you use it beforehand. I've always been loyal to my trusty Etat Pur Scrub, but since I've delved into the world of body scrubbing this one seems to be edging that one more and more each day due to it's soothing and spa-lie qualities.
I've generally stuck to the Ayurveda (pink packaging) line so far as the Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel was the first product I ever tried by the brand and fell in love with. However, this Laughing Buddha (orange packaging) line is fabulous so I might have to test out a bit more from that too! I'm thinking body butter next - obviously! Would you expect any less from me?
