Birchbox Review - Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Soufflé Body Crème

Oh my word. I don't even know where to begin. One statement will say it all I feel -
Holy Grail Product.

This is an absolutely incredible body crème. I know that after all it's just a body crème, so how good can it really be? Well, outstandingly is the answer.

I used to be a girl who wouldn't really spend a lot on her body lotions, butters etc. I just didn't see the point in breaking the bank when I could head to The Body Shop and buy an item that did the trick beautifully and didn't leave my purse sobbing. However, receiving this product in my Birchbox has opened my eyes to the higher end of body products. I do agree that you can get great products on a budget and designer is not always better. But sometimes the price is higher for a reason and spending that little bit extra really does make the difference.

The packaging of this product is devine. I love the feeling of the matte tube and the glossy, luxurious label. I know, you're thinking to yourself, 'how can a label feel luxurious?' I was asking myself the same thing for a while. I think that answer is that it's beautifully designed, glossy, clean, pretty and the silver reflection on the rim just gives it an air of class.

Look at me, getting over-descriptive and excited about a label. This shows how much I've fallen for this product.

The smell of this crème is heavenly. It has a strong and lingering scent of Vanilla. As soon as you put this on, you get a 'top note' of something else too which I don't recognise, so I could only explain this as the 'amber' part. Either way, its soft and heavenly and.. sexy, to be honest with you. This would be the perfect product to lather up with before a date. It leaves you skin feeling incredibly soft and there's no waiting around time for it to sink it.

As soon as it touches the skin it turns into a thicker, almost body-butter-like texture. It takes a bit of working to get the product massaged in but as soon as it's gone, the crème has completely absorbed and leaves behind nothing but a smell so good I could sit here sniffing it all day.

It contains Vitamin A, C and E to help enrich the skin, whilst Almond, Hydrolyzed Rice Proteins and Pro-Vitamin B5 restore the skins moisture and balance. It contains various oils such as Grape Seed and Rice Bran to condition  whilst the Vanilla and Honey offer soothing qualities.

I just honestly can't recommend it to you enough. You need to go out and try this if you didn't get it in your Birchbox. You might think it smells slightly odd in the tub - maybe like something you wouldn't enjoy. But I would really recommend you massaging some onto your hand and smelling it a couple of minutes later. I'm positive that many of you will adore it as much as I do.

I think this is going straight on my Christmas List.
Santa, I've been really good this year! Please!
