Birchbox Review - Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream

I've seen this product spotted around the internet but it's never really grabbed my attention and I don't know why. Maybe it's because an all purpose cream sounds too good to be true. It can't solve all your skin issues can it? Well frankly I don't really have that many. I may get dry elbows, knees and feet but that's about the lengths of it and don't get me wrong, I'm happy about it. But having said that, I wasn't entirely sure what I would need this product for.

Once receiving these sachets in my Birchbox, I decided that I would give them a go as a body lotion for when I get out of the shower. You could use the cream on your face, skin, hair, cuts, burns, bruises, rashes, eczema and psoriasis amongst others. However I didn't really have need to, so body moisturiser worked for me.

The product comes out the sachet as a solid consistancy. The only way I can describe it is like butter that has melted and then started to harden again. Once warmed up between your hands for a few seconds, it turns into an oil that can be applied directly to the desired area. I used the so-called 'cream' on my legs to make them extra silky smooth and soft.

Having said that, this stuff takes FOREVER to absorb into the skin. I kid you not, I applied this in the evening and by the next night I could still feel it on my skin. I don't know if I used to much or what, but this stuff would just lay on the surface like a greasy layer. But once it had sunk in it made my skin feel and look incredible. It looked like my skin was so radiant even though it was on my legs. It felt soft, supple and absolutely heavenly. If I could achieve that without the long-term greasy feeling I would be over the moon.

I have one more sachet to test so I might see if applying a little less helps, but I really didn't apply overloading amounts in the first place. This is clearly a product where a little will go a long way.

I can understand why it would be great for burns, cuts, rashes etc. The cream/oil is very soothing and calming so I can imagine it working well. I'd definitely check it out if you suffer from the above.

If you have tried this or have any thoughts on it please share them below.
