Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Wrinkle Smoothing Cream

I can't say that I was too eager to try this product at first. I've not really heard too much about it and I've never tried a Clarins product before now, so there was nothing to really pull me in. However after I had finished some of my other eye cream samples, I thought I would pull this out and give it a go. It's lucky that I did because this has to be the best eye cream I have used so far and I can't wait to go out and buy the full sized jar.

The Clarins Extra-Friming Eye wrinkle Smoothing Cream aims to reduce the signs of wrinkles, crows feet and fatigue. It contains blackcurrent bud extract and shea butter to soothe, moisturise and nourish the delicate eye area. Rose wax forms a protective film to reduce the look of fine lines. It is aimed at women in their 40's but I have found that it works wonders for me so I don't feel like that statement should put anyone off.

I have only been using this eye cream at night as I tend to use my Origins GinZing Eye Cream in the morning for it's brightening qualities. You can see my review of that here, but as a quick side note, i'm not a fan. Back to this Clarins eye cream, it is more lotion based. It comes out of the tube looking like a cream but as soon as you touch it you notice its thinner consistency which makes it incredibly easy to tap gently into the under eye area.

I see instant results with this cream. I think everyone has fine lines under their eyes at this age. They aren't necessarily the type of wrinkles that this cream is aimed to attack - they are just expression lines from where the skin folds. This cream works wonders with mine and after applying it I find that they are puffed out and smoothed immediately. It makes the under eye look a lot healthier and more radiant.

You are meant to use this morning and evening so I imagine this to be great under makeup. It doesn't leave a greasy barrier like some eye creams would do. It simply does the job effortlessly. I'm happy to start preventing wrinkles now so that when I'm forty the job is half way done!

What's your favourite eye cream? Have you tried this one?
