Bourjois Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick in Peach on the Beach

Heaven only knows why it took me so long to jump on this product bandwagon. I think I was so set in my ways that I refused to believe this product wouldn't dry out my lips - regardless of all the positive reviews. I went into Boots, swatched al the colours and automatically thought they all looked horrible and would never work on me, so I walked away and left them there on the shelf looking all unloved.

However when I went back in to shop for some different bits, they caught my eye again and called me over. I'd seen further reviews of them on Youtube since my last Boots visit and was suddenly feeling very warm about the Peach on the Beach shade. The next thing I knew I had thrown one in my basket and was marching my way over to the till to pay before I changed my mind. The lipstick then jumped into my bag of review items when I got home and stayed there. Every so often I would find myself peaking at it, wondering if it would work nicely or if I should give it away to a friend, unused.

This did not happen.

On a weekend when I knew I wasn't going anywhere and didn't mind if my makeup looked hideous, I tried this lip product on and it was a happy ever after from there on.

I actually really love the packaging of this product. I also really enjoy the fact that you can twist up the pencil instead of sharpening it. Normally it's a complete nightmare to find a sharpener that actually fits some of these larger, chubby products.

It's nice that the packaging of each lip product resembles the colour itself so that you always know what shade you are reaching for.

It glides on beautifully like a balm would. This instantly played harps in my ears as I love, love, love me some gorgeous lip balm. I line my lips first with this pencil and then proceed to fill in the rest which  always gives me a really neat finish. The colour is not too overbearing and although the picture does not show it very well (not sure why), it's actually really rather glossy.

It feels nourishing and moisturising on the lips which was the major selling point for me. However I was extremely impressed with how long the product stayed on for. It has claims of lasting 10 hours which I'm not so sure about. However even when the gloss is rubbed off, I can definitely verify that the colour almost stains your lips and will definitely last you a long while - at the very least until you feel like reapplying it.

Over all, I'm completely sold on this product. I know that there are some more deeper and vampier shades coming out for Autumn/Winter which I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about. I need to get my hands on all of them. That is that.

If you are having any doubts about these lipsticks, please don't! They are incredible. Go stalk them out in Boots and buy one because I solemnly swear right now that you will love them.
