Bed Head Tigi Control Freak Serum

I bought this because my hairdresser used to use it on me all the time when I went to get my hair cut. This was always switched up with another product that I preferred more but that is now discontinued. I wanted to get my hands on Control Freak for so long because I believed that it would give me that salon quality look at home and I'm definitely not disappointed with my purchase - even though it's not a miracle worker.

The Control Freak Hair Serum aims to tame your frizz and act as a built in straightener. It is a gel-like consistency with tiny sparkles in which you might be able to see clearer in the picture below. It acts as a heat protectant whilst sealing in shine and moisture. Because it's a gel, it feels extremely lightweight in your hair and doesn't weigh it down in the slightest.

You can dispense a little it of product into your hand using the screw up cap on the top, and then proceed to apply it to damp hair. Then you can go ahead and style as normal with a hairdryer/straightener. It's not sticky or tacky which is brilliant. The smell of the product isn't too amazing which shocked me a little as most Tigi product smell incredible but I guess you can't have it all. Haha.

Although you can see that there is shimmer in the product, that doesn't really show up on your hair. You don't get a weird glitter coating or anything like that. In honesty it seems to just disappear but a subtle shine is definitely visible.

Over all my hair is definitely left feeling softer, sleeker and with a subtle shine. However I like my shine to be really out there so I tend to mix this product with others that I enjoy to create my desired effect.

You get a serious amount of product I feel, as you use such a little bit at a time. This bottle will probably last me forever but when it does finish I reckon it'll be time for me to move on and I won't be repurchasing it as I'm not completely blown away.
