Banana and Strawberry Chia Smoothie

To make this smoothie you will need:

1 Banana
1/2 Cup of Strawberries
1 Cup of Almond/Soya Milk
1 Tbsp of Chia Seeds
Optional: Ice cream (Not healthy but very tasty)

Pop everything into a blender pulse until everything is mixed. Then enjoy straight away :)

This is the simple drink I decided to make with my Chia Seeds from July's Birchbox. There are tonnes of different recipes and meals you can pop these seeds into. They are pretty tasteless but add 5g of fibre and 2g of plant protein per tablespoon to your meal/drink. 

This is definitely a quick and easy drink to make with breakfast. But be sure to drink it immediately as 10 minutes after the seeds hit liquid, they start to release a soluble fibre which forms a gel. Wait too long and you'll end up with a gelatin-like drink!
