Birchbox Review - Color Club Nail Polish in Mod in Manhattan

I've been testing out my new Color Club polish from my June Birchbox recently and haven't really been getting along with it. Although it is quite a nice creamy shade with a hint of yellow, I find that the formulation of this product isn't quite right. I loved the fact that it was a thicker polish to start with, as it was almost completely opaque after 1 coat. But I think that this might be it's downfall. It reminds me more of paint you would apply to your walls rather than your fingernails. The brush is also really skinny which I find annoying as it takes more strokes to cover one nail. Plus the more you go over the nail the more clumpy it's going to be anyway.

I have tried other Color Club nail polishes, including Put a Pin In It which I really enjoyed. However I just don't seem to be getting along with this one. It might be because the formulation is different as Put a Pin In It was shimmery and this is not. Either way, there is something different about this polish which I really don't get on with.

I really like the colour but this specific polish is not for me. Have you tried any Color Club polishes? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
