Ghost Moonlight Eau De Toilette

I received this perfume sample in a magazine a while back now but never got around to reviewing it. I'm a huge perfume addict so trying out new scents and matching it to an occasion or time really excites me. Unfortunately I am absolutely terrible at describing aromas though. A good idea is to check out what notes are in each perfume and then match future perfumes against them.

For that reason, and because I'm useless at describing, here are the notes:
Top Notes - Ginger, Bergamot and Cantaloupe
Heart Notes - Orange Blossom, Pink Peony and Lily of the Valley
Base Notes - White Chocolate, Amber, Sandalwood

I think that this is quite a soft smell. It's not offensive and would probably be very easy to wear for a first date. Having said this, you could wear it during the day without much trouble. I think what is coming through the most and making it soft and sweet is the white chocolate base notes. It is described as floral but I wouldn't say that it was like smelling a freshly cut bouquet. There is certainly a more mellow and powdery nature to it. If you like musky notes, you may want to investigate this further as I feel there is also a depth and seductiveness to it.
