Percy and Reed Volumising No Oil Oil

Glamour is giving away a range of different Percy and Reed haircare products with this month's magazine. They did something similar last year whereby they gave away slightly different products which I haven't even tried yet. However when I saw this cute little bottle I just had to have it. It appealed to me a lot more than any of the other items that were on offer this time.

Even though I don't have fine hair in the slightest, I still wanted to give this a go to see how it worked for me. I was more intrigued by the volumising part of it as I am continuously on the look out for haircare that will give my locks body that rivals Cheryl Cole.

All you have to do is work a couple of drops through your towel dried hair before blow drying. It is meant to keep your hair smooth, sleek and shiny whilst nourishing and repairing every strand.

You could also use this product to get rid of fly-aways by applying a little with a brush to prevent frizz.

I don't really find that this 'oil' has a particular scent at all. What I do find is that a little goes a long way.

Unfortunately this product doesn't give me much volume whatsoever. I also don't find that my hair is overly shiny after using this - no more shiny than usual I should say. I just don't find anything that makes this product worth while using. It doesn't really give me anything that my shampoo and normal haircare routine can't give me. I know of better products that help to reduce fly-aways and frizz. To be honest I had to use other products to create the look I wanted because this just wasn't doing the trick.

Overall I'm not bowled over by this and wouldn't find myself rushing to use it again. It's not horrible to use. I just don't see any benefits with it either.

This is aimed at thinner hair so maybe that's the problem. If you've tried this and liked it, please let me know in the comments below.

  1. I completely agree with you on this one, I picked it up in Glamour too and it just does nothing for me, I was trying to google to find a way to use it but I think I'll just stick to moroccan oil! xo

  2. I was thinking of buying glamour just to try this but I don't think I'll bother now. Thanks for the honest review!
