March Birchbox!

I think Birchbox might be feeling a little bad about having such a hiccup with their February box. After having to wait til the last day of the month for my last box, I find myself not only getting the March box earlier than usual, but also getting it delivered in double-quick time.

But you know me. I'm a true lover of Birchbox. I've wanted them to start doing boxes in the UK ever since they started and now they have, it's going to take a lot to put me off!

So, let's see what I got in my prompt March box :)

(1) Beauty Blender - Cleanser (Full Size £22) - One thing we've learned from our beauty role models? You must clean your tools. This cleanser prolongs the life of the beauty blender and all your make-up brushes. Get a head start on your spring clean.

My Opinion - This is perfect timing. I am just running out of my Mac Brush Cleanser. Now I can move onto this and see how it compares. It's thicker than the Mac version but thinner than a shampoo would be. Overall I'm happy to try this and hopefully it leaves my brushes feeling really clean!

(2) Beauty Blender - Sponge (Full Size £24) - Beloved by make-up artists and celebs alike, this ingeniously-shaped fuchsia beauty tool enables you to create a flawless finish with your foundation and concealer.

My Opinion - This is so cool! I'm so happy I now have one of these because I've heard a lot about them. I don't normally like using sponges to apply my foundation. However I am happy to try this for blending out liquid foundation around my nose and generally making it look more flawless. Hopefully this lives up to the huge expectations I have for it.

(3) Laura Geller Beauty - Inkwell Waterproof Gel Liner (Full Size £24.50) - This smooth long-wearing gel eyeliner comes with a handy brush that makes it super-easy to apply. Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E are among the skin-loving ingredients.

My Opinion - No way! Laura Geller! If you've read my blog recently you will know that I reviewed the Bronze n Bright Bronzer by Laura Geller. When I wrote that review I stated that it was quite hard to get hold of in the UK and that it wasn't that well known. Next thing you know, you're getting it in your monthly beauty box. Who knew! Anyways, this looks like a lovely product. I don't tend to wear coloured liners but I'm hoping that this purple shade will bring out the blue in my eyes. The hidden brush looks fantastic and feels like great quality. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this.

(4) Molton Brown - Valbonne Fragrance (Full Size £65) - Known for their gorgeous lotions and shower gel scents, Molton Brown's fine fragrance collection is predictably heavenly. Valbonne combines notes of bergamot, dewy orange flower, rose, vetiver and leather for a sophisticated scent that will take you from day to night.

My Opinion - I used to be a religious user of Molton Brown shower gels. But as you know, times change and people move on. It doesn't mean that I'm not still a lover of their products and think the scents are great. This is why I was happy I received a perfume by them in this months box. I am a HUGE perfume addict, so naturally this was the first product I tried out from the box. I love the scent! I think that it is really suitable for a range of age groups. As the description says, I think that it is a great transitional scent from day to night. I got my mum to smell this as she loves Molton Brown too but doesn't tend to get along with many perfumes. She seems to really like this so I might be getting her a bottle for her birthday next month. But shhhh, don't tell :P

(5) La Sultane De Saba - Body Lotion with Argan Oil (Ful Price £26.50) - Inspired by ancient beauty rituals of the Orient and Asia, La Sultane de Saba's body lotion with rich Argan Oil skins into skin with ease, leaving a delicate scent. Divine.

My Opinion - Oooer, I've not heard of this brand before. It's always nice to discover new products in boxes like these. I love using lotions on my skin after the shower so I'm definitely planning to try this out tonight. I'm not getting a very specific scent from the lotion in the bottle. It seems to smell like a bog standard lotion, with maybe a hint of Shea Butter which is funny since this isn't included in the ingredients. Either way, I shall try this out and get back to you :)

(6) Yu-Be - Moisturising Skin Cream (Full Size £19.50) - Don't let the primose colour fool you - this multi-purpose medicated moisturiser is made of tough stuff. A bestseller in Japan since 1957, the comforting camphor scent magically disappears about a minute after application, but leaves you with super-soft skin.

My Opinion - This is obviously another brand that I haven't heard of. I'm a little bit skeptical about using this - only because I'm so loyal to my Mac moisturiser and don't tend to find other skincare products that work extremely well for me. Either way, I will give this a test and see how I go.

(7) Lindt - Lindor Heart Tin filled with Chocolate Truffles (Full Size £2.99) - Treat yourself with the irresistibly smooth Lindor Truffles, made with passion by Lindt Master Chocolatiers.

My Opinion - Everyone knows of Lindor. Everyone loves Lindor. It's a winner in my eyes. I just wish there were more truffles inside!

And that's it guys :) Hopefully if you got this box, you were just as happy as I am with its contents. Let me know in the comments below.
