NOTD - Topshop Nail Polish In Jem

Since I am doing Valentines week on my blog, I decided to take this as an opportunity to use my new nail polish for Christmas. As soon as I saw this polish I thought of Valentines day and how pretty it would look on an evening out.

When I first tried the product I didn't know how dense the glitter was going to be. You can see from above that it is quite sparse. The picture shows four coats of glitter but having said this it didn't take long to paint. The glitter polish dries extremely quickly and leaves a flush finish on the nails. To get a good covering of glitter I recommend that you dab the brush instead of swipe it down the nail like you usually would. This helps to prevent the glitter slipping off the nail and gives a better finish.

Arguably you could wear this on its own but I think it would look nice over red, white or black nails. I wanted to show you the polish on it's own so you could tell how much coverage the polish gave. Hopefully this helps.

We are midweek through my Valentines themed blog series. I thought I would take this opportunity to fill you in on what else is coming up before Monday.

Tomorrow is usually a weekly wish list so I thought it would be a good day to post the second Valentines Gift Guide post. There is also a FOTD date night look coming up with some new cosmetics I have tried out, a cupcake baking and decorating post which you could recreate with your partner and a Book Worm post towards the end of the week. This book is a romance novel with a twist. It is all about how other people can help you through a tough time and can help you learn to love again. Personally I like little gifts on Valentines that mean something.

If you would like to check out the Valentine's posts already live you can click here for a gift guide post and here for a guide to dresses for your date!

Speak tomorrow!
