BirchBox Review - Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment

My first Birchbox arrived this month and I couldn't of been happier with it. Some people are a little disappointed but for me this was an ideal box and there's not a product in there that I don't enjoy :) So, without further ado, here is my first product review from the January BirchBox.

I have heard of this Sugar Rose Lip Treatment before but have actually never come across it myself. Those who know me well will tell you what a huge lip balm fan I am. So automatically this shot to the top of my 'to try' list. I definitely wasn't let down.

This balm aims to moisturise, repair and protect the lips whilst leaving a hint of colour. The sugar is meant to help reduce moisture loss whilst leaving them supple for up to 6 hours. The sheer colour is also buildable, so whether you want a dainty flush or a powerful pop, you can achieve it with this lip treatment.

The packaging is absolutely stunning. I love that it has a screw cap so that it doesn't pop off in my bag. I also love the fact that it's metal and heavy. It somehow makes it feel a lot more luxurious. The colour is stunning and although it is marketed as sheer to start off with, there is a decent amount of colour pay off from initial application.

My lips do feel soft and supple for hours on end so over all this lip treatment does its job. It's a great little product to pop in your purse when you're heading out. It will definitely look lovely in the spring months when you want to look fresh faced. I plan on keeping it with me when I go to a few outdoor events this S/S.

If you're in the UK and want to grab yourself one of these, I know that you can get them from Amazon for around £13. I'm not sure if they are available in stores over here or not. I know £13 definitely sounds pricey for a lip balm but I feel you get your moneys worth. It will last a long time because you don't have to keep reapplying it.

This is one of the best lip balms I've tried. Do you like it? Leave your comments below.
