W7 Style Eyes Brow & Lash Shaping Gel

After finding the Gosh Defining Brow Gel a few months ago, I declared that I would never change or spend more money on a similar product. Gosh do it so well that it seems ludicrous for me to go anywhere else. Having said this, I have gone back on my word in some respects. I have tried another brand but it was cheaper than Gosh, so I still hold to my word to some extent!

This is another product I got at the beauty sale at my internship (which ends today by the way :( ). I have heard of W7 before but I don't really consider it to be a well known brand. I wouldn't know where to buy it from if I hadn't stumbled across it in the sale. But regardless of this, I did and I thought it would be a great idea to try it out and see if it's better than my statement brow gel.

I like that you can see how much product is left which is a bonus. Though the gel will probably change to a brown colour once I use it more because of the powder I fill my brows in with. This won't be so attractive. Other than that, it's easy to spot in my makeup bag because of the bright pink top.

The wand is mah-hoo-sive! I kid you not, it is probably at least double the size of the Gosh one and this is definitely a hindrance rather than a help. It was so much harder to get a precise handling on it and because the bristles are much softer, it just felt more difficult to use.

The Gosh Brow Gel doesn't set my brows hard but you can feel that there is gel on them if you touch them. I would describe it as a mild hairspray feeling, but I don't mind that. It doesn't look unnatural and it holds them in place which is the main thing. W7's gel is much lighter and really doesn't hold my brows in shape as much. Because this is meant to be used on the lashes as well, I can understand why it isn't as stiff. But having said this, I wouldn't use it on my lashes - that's not what I have bought it for so I don't feel it's better than Gosh in this way.

Over all, I feel good that I have tried a new brand to see if I could find anything I liked more. But I have come to the conclusion that Gosh is still the best brow gel I can buy for that price range and I will be a loyal user of it for many more months to come!
