Mac Studio Finish SPF35 Concealer in NC20

The time has come for me to change my concealer again. Bobbi Brown had to run out at some point and although I really did enjoy using it, the beauty blogger in me told me to progress and try something new. So after a twitter conversation with a few of you, I managed to settle on this.

I have previously owned the Studio Sculpt version which I enjoyed and have always been an avid Mac user. I feel that they never let me down. Plus, I never fail to get excited about the newness of a Mac product. It's like Christmas when my purse is pulled out at that counter.

So, I went ahead and bought this Studio Finish Concealer in the same shade as my Powder Plus Foundation and away we went. When it arrived in the post I couldn't wait to get my fingers all over it but I resisted so that I could take a picture for you first.

My first reactions were that the consistency was much different to what I had expected. It was a lot drier than I imagined it would be. But perhaps that was because I was so used to the creaminess of Bobbi Brown that I just assumed this would be the same. However I am actually quite happy that it's a little on the drier side. I didn't think I would at first but I have grown to love it. I thought it would be difficult to blend but it applies like a dream and the coverage is solid. It lasts all day without budging and doesn't crease one bit underneath the eyes. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't have a mirror like the Bobbi Brown one did. That little mirror came in handy alot more than I realised.

I enjoy the fact that it has such a high SPF. Although this is only used on select areas on my face, it is always nice to be protected isn't it :) Plus it helps to make sure my spots don't discolour any more than they usually would.

Overall I am really happy with this concealer and I would go as far as to say it is my favourite. Yes, I have found a new queen to sit on top of the vanity pedestal. She's perched their happily and she's not budging.

So finally I would recommend this to anyone who's in the market for a new concealer. They may seem a little expensive to some but trust me, they last forever and a day :)
