However, I immediately realised that this book was going to be a lot better than the others as it had more of a plot line. E L James still repeats herself a lot during the book with various scenes that you would expect. However there is almost a hint of intrigue to this book. You start to wonder what might happen next which didn't happen for me in the first instalment.
Christian was never going to let Ana go easily. He has tempted her back with the promise of a new contract and she accepts. It becomes very apparent that Christian did not cope well on his own and this hurts Ana deeply. But she is soon to find out that trouble has been brewing and if it wasn't the contract that was going to bother her, it was going to be something else - a slightly off balance ex that can't let go of the past. Soon Ana is getting watched in her sleep and Christian has a new battle on his hands. This time it's not how to keep her with him, but how to keep her safe.
I liked how this book was a lot more light hearted and it seemed that the characters had more fun. Ana's subconscious makes me laugh quite a bit as she is witty and says some things that I am thinking myself which endears me to the book.
I had heard from a few people that they couldn't understand how James made a third book out of this series as there wasn't much more to say. However I disagree as the book is left on a cliff-hanger that has creeped me out a bit, but done it's job and made me want to read the next one. I have a habit of having to finish a book/series that I have started but it's nice to have the curiosity there to want to.
Realistically, I am ready to move onto another book now but watch this space as my third and final Fifty Shades review will be coming up next.
If you have any recommendations for other books for me to read, please feel free to leave them in the comments below :)
