JolieBox Review - Dr Bronner's Magic All-In-One Soap!

Welcome... to my bathroom! Haha.

I thought I would do a review on the Magic All-In-One soap today as it was one that intrigued and confused a lot of people who received it in their JolieBox last month. I didn't know if it was going to be a thick gel, or a solid product, nor did I know what else it could be used for other than showering/bathing.

I've heard some crazy things about this product though! I've heard that some people even use it to wash their vegetables. Why on earth you would ever want to wash your vegetables with soap before you eat them is beyond me! Each to their own I guess. On the other hand, there have been some more predictable reasons for using this soap. For example, Gwenyth Paltrow likes to use the lavender one when she is taking a bath, Eminem likes to use the Peppermint one to clean his teeth in the shower (perhaps not so predictable), and Bobbi Brown likes to keep the Peppermint one in each of her bathrooms too, so that it's always at hand.

On that note, I figured that there must be something in this product so I decided to use it for cleaning a couple of my makeup brushes. As you can see I used the unscented one as I wasn't too sure how I felt about having perfumed scents all over my makeup brushes. I can report that this soap does have a smell too it but it's obviously not an artificial smell that 'Dr Bronner' has added!

I was surprised to find that the soap lathered up incredibly well! Perhaps the picture above isn't the best to show you how well the product worked, but it was very hard to take with only two hands to do everything! But I can assure you that a little really does go a long way. It cleaned my brushes with such ease - I couldn't believe it. I was so impressed at how easy the soap was to rinse off as well. It left my hands and my brushes feeling squeaky clean afterwards. I didn't think I was going to be too taken by a multi-purpose soap but it's actually a great product and a great idea :)

I'm yet to use the scented ones but I have heard from other people that the smell divine, so I am sure I won't be disappointed.

Have you tried these All-In-One soaps? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below :)

  1. I have two bottles of this around my house, I love it for cleaning brushes and housework but it was great for a shower gel when I came home from a festival covered in mud. :) <3
