Di Palomo Wild Fig and Grape Eau de Parfum

For those of you who haven't read my About Me, or my banner for a matter of fact, I am a huge perfume fan. I get so excited when a new perfume comes out. Everything from the design of the packaging and bottle, to the colour of the liquid and the smell excites me.

That's why when I got offered the chance to try out this Wild Fig and Grape Perfume* by Di Palono, I jumped at the chance.

The packaging is simply stunning. It's so elegant and classy. Everyone I have shown it to loves it, from my mum and dad to my boyfriend. The glass bottle is so sleek. I love how unfussy it is. It's quite a thin bottle as well which is really nice for storage, or fitting on my vanity where most of mine rest.

For those who like to search for specific notes that they like in perfumes:

The top notes are: grape & gardenia.
The middle notes are: ripe fig, orange blossom and mimosa.
The bottom notes are: sandalwood, amber and vanilla.

This perfume is just the right level of sweet. I don't like overly sweet perfumes like Escada ones so if you do then this might not be the one for you. However you could always go and give it a smell. Because this is Eau de Pafum it lasts much longer than an Eau de Toilette. I would probably say it's the longest lasting perfume in my collection, but perhaps that's because it's the newest and I'm not used to the smell yet!

Wild Fig and Grape is one of Di Palono's best sellers and I can definitely see why. Priced at £22 (50ml), it would make an amazing Christmas present for any woman in your life - girlfriend, mother and grandmother. Available from most John Lewis stores, there are a range to choose from. Others include Orange Blossom and Wild Honey, and White Grape and Aloe. Each with their own perfectly pretty packaging (because you know what I'm like when it comes to that!).

Finally, if you would prefer another persons opinion on it, here is my boyfriend to give you the man version :P

The Boyfriend's Opinion:
Personally, I quite like this perfume. As Helena has already mentioned, it's not too sweet, which is a good thing as it is a common problem with most "new" perfumes these days. It has a pleasant fresh scent that would not seem out of place in the daytime or evening. It's delicate but long lasting nature makes it ideal for most age groups, so I'd happily buy it for Helena or my mother. The outter packaging is nice although feels slightly plasticky, but the bottle is rather cute and suggests that it would justify a slightly higher price tag than it actually has.

  1. I can't see that you mention how many ml are in the bottle but £22 is not a bad price in general! Lovely review! x
