JolieBox Review - Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Dry Shampoo

This product was always going to have a battle on its hands. Finding a dry shampoo that I like better than my Batiste one is no easy mission. Batiste just does the job and afterwards you can't even tell that you used dry shampoo. What more could you ask for from this sort of product.

Everyone knows what this product is for. If you don't have time to wash your hair, it gives your locks the pick-me-up they need to help them look freshly washed and bouncy again. It is a lifesaver for anyone with a fast-paced life, or even for just girls that are lazy and lets face it, we all have some of those days.

You are meant to spray it on your roots 20cm's away and then massage in thoroughly. But this is where it falls down. It comes out white and I have brown hair. If I was a blonde then maybe I could get away with it, but there was no amount of massaging I could do to get rid of the greying effect it left behind.

It smells amazing. And I won't lie, when I started shaking the tin I nearly jumped out of my skin when it made a right old racket. The Batiste product is just a liquid that you shake. However this product has a metal ball inside which mixes everything together. When you spray it, it almost has a fizz to it, as if it is more gassy than the Batiste. It fizzes a bit on the hair and I have realised that the longer you leave it before massaging, the more grey you will become.

Overall this does a great job of getting rid of your greasy roots. There is no denying that. Perhaps if it was a brown colour it could even rival my Batiste obsession. If anyone has tried this and has blonde hair, please comment below and let me know how it works for you.

  1. I have blonde hair but haven't tried this out, I think I will - I can't decide between Batiste and this one now - you've given such good reviews!
