DiorSkin Nude (Guest Post)

For a girl who has used powder foundation for the past few years it had to be something pretty special to break with tradition. However after receiving a sample of this foundation in a magazine I decided to give it a go. I mean what harm could it do? Well it seems the harm would be to my purse as I soon fell in love with it and after doing some more research I soon found many others felt the same.

So while in London I decided to pop into Selfridges, get colour matched and pick one up. At first, looking at the bottle, I felt the foundation may be too light but once applying it to my face my fears were soon dispelled.

I hate a foundation that feels heavy and cakey on my skin but this is the complete opposite. It glides on leaving my skin feeling silky and fresh. The foundation contains nearly 40% water which is supposed to leave the skin feeling more radiant. It evens out my skin tone while still being light enough that it allows my skin to breathe, which for me is essential.

There are so many foundations in the Diorskin range that it can be confusing which one to go for. What really attracted me to Diorskin Nude was how natural it looks and feels. A blend of 100% mineral pigments and energising mineralised water is said to help create a natural, flawless, bare skin look. I definitely agree with this. Once applied the foundation blends really well with my skin, it lasts all day and creates a great base.

The only downside is at £31 it is a little pricey. Though it’s definitely a case of ‘you get what you pay for’ and I would say it’s worth the splurge. I’m hoping that at this price it will last me a while before I have to repurchase it. I have well and truly been won over!

I would recommend this to anyone who is just starting out with or making a return to liquid foundations. It’s also a great choice for anyone who likes to keep their make up looking fresh and natural.

    1. I might have to give it a try.. But i don't know how well it will work with my skintype. I'm not sure how sheer the coverage will be too. I normally go with medium. Will have to ask Miss Wootton :P xxo
