Limted Edition Mac Blush in Pink Tea

I am well and truly a sucker for Mac Limited Edition items. When I nip to my local Mac counter to buy something, I always have a cheeky peek at what the latest addition to the line is. A couple of weeks back I headed to Mac to buy some more Blot Film but got caught up in a whole world of blushes.

Sometimes I don't really like the ones that come out with the limited edition collections, which really disappoints me as I am a Mac blush addict through and through. However, when I saw that they had bought out a collection solely of blushes, I just had to stop and have a gander.

There were 6 new shades to choose from in the Tres Cheek collection, and to be honest I liked almost all of them. It took me a long while to choose between them all, but in the end I went for my trusty pale pink blush. I have rather pale skin so I don't like to go for anything too OTT on my cheeks. I adore the natural effortless look, so I spend a good 20 minutes in the morning trying to achieve just that!

When I got the product home I couldn't wait to try it out, but it ended up not being what I expected... in a good way! The blush was a lot more vibrant on my cheeks than I thought it would be. In the pan it shows up pretty pale - even paler than it is showing in the pictures - so it was quite a shock at first.

The colour definitely seems more vibrant when I use my liquid foundation instead of my powder one. I am not quite sure why that is, but above I am wearing my Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus foundation.

As you can see it gives a lovely, healthy flush to the skin that I really enjoy. It is a satin finish so it doesn't leave me with a powder matte finish which is actually really nice. I have oily skin and steer away from any shine, but the satin formulation of Mac blushes are to die for. I don't know how the sheen is created because there no glitter or shimmer in at all it would seem. They are just simply beautiful.

Pink tea is still available on the Mac website, so if you want it, just search for it in the search bar.

  6. Love this shade! Gives you such a natural flush of colour and it isn't too overpowering, which is good for us paleys! xxx
