Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in 134 Darling

If you are on the market for a nude lipstick, then this is your lipstick. But unfortunately for me, I just get too washed out by it.

I have extremely pale skin, as you can see, and when I apply this lipstick, my lips tend to go around the same shade as my skin tone. This really isn't at all flattering on me as it drains all the life out of my face. However, for someone with a darker skin tone, I think this would look absolutely fabulous, as it is in fact the perfect nude colour.

The product is soft and creamy when you apply it. I generally apply it after some lip balm which helps it to apply smoothly and gives me the moisture I need as well. Having said this, I do find that my lips tend to dry out when I wear this and I have to keep reapplying the lip balm and lipstick throughout the day. So perhaps if you hate touch ups, this isn't the product for you.

It retails at £6.49 in Superdrug which is pretty average for a highstreet lipstick. So I would say that if you pine after that perfect nude lip, this may be worth a try.

For reference I am NC20 in the powder foundation at Mac, so that you can get a rough idea of how this may look on your skin tone.

Have any great nude lipsticks? Feel free to leave them below so that others can give them a go :)

  1. This would definitely be far too light on me, MAC's hue is a great pinky nude for us pale girls though :) xx

  2. I don't think I'm quite as pale as you but I think this still might be too pale for me! I definitely will take a look at other shades in this lipstick though :)
