Revlon Lip Butters - Creme Brulee and Sweet Tart

The Revlon Lip Butter range hit the high streets of the UK last month and everyone has been going wild for them. After there was such good press about them in the US, everyone wanted to get their hands on these goodies, including me.

When I finally managed to find some in Boots, I didn't really know which colour I wanted to buy. I had seen swatches of them all before but it had slipped my mind as to which colours I liked the best so I went into the decision blind. I swatched a few on my hands and the ones I thought I would like, I didn't, and visa versa.

In the end I came out with Creme Brulee (Left) and Sweet Tart (Right). I went straight for Creme Brulee to start with because I love nudes, whereas Sweet Tart was going to be my hit-or-miss shade. As it happens, I actually prefer Sweet Tart a lot more than the other!

Where application and wear is concerned, I am pretty pleased. The lipstick tube makes the butter so much easier to apply, as well as being more hygienic than a tub. And though it says they are lip butters, they wear reasonably well. They moisturise my lips and give a great colour pay off at the same time, which I think is one of the main reasons why they are such a huge success. Even when all the sheen and moisture has seeped in, you still get a great colour pay off, especially with Sweet Tart, which I really love!

Overall I am pretty pleased with my purchases and would consider buying some more. I think that Sweet Tart is going to look great on the lips this summer. Plus, since I like to keep my wardrobe reasonably neutral, this can work as my 'pop' factor :)

  2. I hate when people swatch lipsticks and ruin them for the rest of us
