Kleenex Facial Cloths

When I was in Superdrug a few weeks ago, I picked up these as I was in need of some more cotton pads and thought these would be a great alternative.

The cloths claim that they are 'softer than cotton wool pads' and 'cleanse skin better than cotton wool' so I was interested to see how they would work for me. They further claim to be better at removing nail polish as they are stronger and more durable.

I can now conclude that I like them a lot more for nail polish removal than I do for cleansing my face as a whole. They are basically like thick tissues, but the feel of them is very strange. They almost feel like there is some form of soap dried into them even though there isn't. They seem to stick to my fingers in an uncomfortable way. Although this feeling disappears when the tissue is wet.

I use Taaj Makeup Remover which is like a water, so it becomes very difficult to get enough of the tissue wet to cleanse my face. I seem to use more of my remover when I use these issues and I can't say that I have personally seen any difference in the way my skin has been cleansed.

On the other hand, they are quite nice for taking nail polish off. It is easier to attack the nail and get all of the nail polish off by being direct in the usage of the tissue. Cotton wool pads are too thick to get in by the sides of my nails sometimes, so for that reason I prefer the tissues.

I think that they have their pros and cons. I will be using the rest of the box purely for nail varnish removal as I just don't think it's worth wasting makeup remover to get the tissue damp enough to cleanse my face.

Have you tried these or any of the makeup wipes by Kleenex? Let me know what you think :)

  1. Keep seeing these everywhere but I like my muslin cloths too much to try something else. I like the sound of them for removing nail polish though! xx

    1. I definitely appreciate them for nail polish but i'm not fussed about them for cleansing. xxo

  2. oohh going to have a look out for these, not sure if they're in Ireland yet but would love an alternative to cotton wool for nail varnish removal :)

    1. I'm not sure if they are, but I did a bit of research, and if you're interested.. Superdrug sell them and will deliver to Ireland so you can always try them out :) xxo
