Joliebox Review - Bellapierre Lash Building Mascara

I received the Bellapierre mascara (£19.99) in my Joliebox yesterday and as you can see I couldn't wait to give it a go. When I first saw the packing I wasn't too struck by it. It seemed a little bit simple and a bit boring for my liking. But that doesn't really matter too much, because it's the product I am really interested in.

Unfortunately my first opinions yesterday proved to be true - this mascara is just too wet for my liking. The liquid is so thin that when I ran it through my lashes I got it everywhere near the lash line on my eyelid. Plus, because it's so wet, the lashes stick to each other instead of separating which was a bit disappointing. It didn't seem able to hold the curl from the eyelash curler either. However on a happier note, the wand was fine. It wasn't too big or too small and after the mascara started to dry a little, I started to like it a lot better.

It started to give my lashes a lot more definition and the curl somehow picked up a bit. The finished look after the product had completely dried was a lot more pleasing and I do think I would use it again for that fact. On the other hand, I don't think the packaging would grab me in a shop enough to make me buy it.  I don't think I would repurchase this because I think it is quite overpriced and there are great alternatives from high street brands that might be slightly easier to work with.
