Benefit The Porefessional

What a great day it was when Benefit released The Porefessional - the type of product I have always needed but never thought would work.

The Pro Balm is skin colour which helps it blend nicely to create an even, flawless surface for applying foundation. A little really does go a long way, and an added bonus is that is also smells great! As you can see, my tube is quite empty but I have had it for just over a year now and I use it every day without fail.

Application is really simple. Just squeeze a little onto the tip of your finger - I usually use the amount shown on my hand above - then gently tap it onto the skin in areas where you feel that your pores are enhanced. This product acts as a filler to create a smooth skin finish. You might think that if this is being packed into your pores, that it would cause you to break out and have really bad skin but I have never had any problems with this product at all. If anything, I have better skin because of it.

The effects of this balm last all day and I don't feel the need to do touch ups. However, you can use this product on top of makeup if you feel the need to. I have used it on the top of my Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation before and didn't have a problem with my makeup then slipping about on my face afterwards.

Overall, its got the average Benefit price (£23.50), which is quite expensive. However, if you look at in terms of how long it lasts you, and how much the cost is when spread out over a year, it's not too bad at all. If you have problems with large pores then I would recommend heading to your nearest Benefit counter and asking the sales assistant to try it out on your skin. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. This is a holy grail product for me, and I hope it is for you too.
