Benefit Hervana Box Blush

I have wanted this blush ever since it was released a month or so ago. However, I have been holding off because although these blushes last for ages, I still find it hard to take the plunge and buy it in the first place because they are quite pricey (£21.50). But here we are, at last :)

I really love the redesign they have done of the box blushes. They introduced this look when they released Bella Bamba, but that wasn't particularly to my taste so I didn't invest. I like the added touch of a mirror on the inside of the box. It is always handy to have one tucked in where you can because you never know when you are going to be left short, so to speak. The new slanted brush that comes with it is a lot better than the old design too. Although I don't tend to use this, as I much prefer my Real Techniques Blush Brush.

This has to be my favourite shade of all of the box blushes that Benefit have introduced. Most of them have fine glitter in which I'm not fond of so I was excited at the prospect of a reasonably matte shade. I have previously owned Georgia, which is a peachy colour blush but I find that it can sometimes be a little difficult to get the shade to show up on my skin tone.

On the other hand, swirling all of the colours together in Hervana creates a dusky baby pink shade that, when swiped on the apples and cheeks, helps to give you a radiant healthy flush. It's definitely a colour that you can build for a more intense pink if you wish. I think this is a winner for every skin tone. If you haven't owned a Benefit blush before, this one would be a great one to start with.

  1. I feel the same about Hervana, that with the swirl of different shades it creates the perfect pink! I am a loyal fan of Benefit's little box blushes using 'Dandelion' and 'Thrrrob' to get that natural, flushed pink across the cheeks - definitely think they have hit it on the nail with 'Hervana'.

    1. Yup. They have finially got a univerally great colour that everyone can enjoy. I haven't tried danelion but I've been interested in it. Apparently it can be hard to show up on some skin tones? xxo

  2. Yep this is the one I want/need.
The only thing putting me off is cos you swirl all the colours together, does it get really messy? I can just imagine the lighter colours going grubby/darker and it'd make me not want to ruin it!
Saying that, I think I'm still gonna invest sooo.. ;)
