Mario Badescu Series Part 3 - Healing Cream

I love this stuff. Seriously. It is my little secret weapon that I like to whip out if I am having a bad skin day and it always works its magic.
I have done two or three Mario Badescu reviews before, as I slowly start to purchase items from the skincare line that intrigue me or I think will solve the current skin issue I am having at that time.
I purchases this little baby over Christmas when I was having a rough time with hormonal spots on my face. This Healing Cream works really well with the Drying Mask that I already own, and apparently creates an unbeatable combination at tackling and getting rid of spots. If you would like to check out my review on the Drying Mask then click here.
So I thought, why not. I could give it a go. What have I got to lose?
I ordered it from beautybay.com, one of my favourite beauty sites online, and I couldn't wait to start applying it and see how it felt. I ordered the small pot in case it didn't impress me, but now I half wish I'd ordered the bigger size. The only reason that I haven't ordered another is because this stuff will last you a lifetime if you only use a tiny bit at a time!
The Healing Cream claims to 'control redness and irritation acne and other minor skin conditions with its lightweight oil-free cream made with natural botanicals. It soothes and protects erupted skin to promote a healthier looking complexion'. You can use it in place of your moisturiser as well which I thought was really handy seeing as I hadn't found a moisturiser that I liked.
When I opened the pot, I was a little daunted by the green cream that faced me. I think that I was just grateful that it didn't smell too bad. It kind of reminds me of something of a mix between sun tan lotion and Johnson's Baby Body Wash.
The cream is really light in the tub, and also really light when you scoop a bit on to your finger, but as soon as you start to massage it into the skin it starts to thicken. This is where a little work is needed to massage it in properly.
Normally I just apply this before I go to sleep at night and then when I wake up in the morning I am a very happy girl. This literally reduces the size of my spots. In some cases, I have actually put this on at night and when I wake up in the morning, the offending spot is gone. I honestly didn't think there was a product on this earth that could possibly achieve that.
I know that this may not work for really bad acne, and won't be a wonder product where you will wake up with airbrushed skin, but I am positive that it will help. I only have a few minor break outs now. When I was in my teens I didn't have the greatest skin so I know what it feels like to suffer from it and wish I had known about this product sooner. Touch wood that I am through that stage now and this does the trick for me.
At £14.50 it isn't too expensive and I would say it is definitely worth a try if spots really knock your confidence. I hope you have as much success as I have had, and I hope this review was helpful.
