I have been wanting to try some Macadamia or Morrocan Oil products for absolutely ages, but seeing as they are kind of expensive and I am a student, I never got around to it.
Finally, February's Jolie Box blessed me with a sample of my very own! The Macadamia Deep Repair Mask is for dry and damaged hair. It helps to intensely hydrate your hair whilst also helping to restore it. All you have to do is clean your hair with your shampoo of choice, and then rub a generous amount of the mask from root to tip. Finally, just leave it for 7 minutes and rinse. Voila!
The first thing I noticed when I put some of the product onto my hand was that it was a lot thicker than I had originally anticipated. I really enjoyed that fact though. For me, the thicker the conditioner, the better! Plus there is a huge extra bonus step at this point of the process that it doesn't have written down on the packaging anywhere - the mask smells absolutely amazing! Oh my gosh I have never smelt anything so good! It is truly gorgeous.
Leaving it on for 7 minutes can be a bit of a pain but I just tend to shave my legs and exfoliate whilst I'm waiting and then rinse it out. This stage takes a bit of time, and you need to make sure that you do rinse thoroughly, but the after-effects are lovely! My hair really did look less damaged and then ends looked healthier, like I had just had my hair cut.
Unfortunately, because the mask is so nourishing, you should only use this up to twice a week - maximum. Shame really, because I would happily use it every day.
So over all I have really enjoyed using the product and may have to seriously reconsider saving up and buying a tub of my own. On beautybay.com it ranges from £3.25 to £30.95 depending on the size you invest in, but it is definitely worth giving a go.
