Best and worst of the mascaras I own right now! (Plus swatches!)

I have always thought that L'oreal Paris makes the best high street mascara. This just proves it!
Here are the mascaras I own at the moment, ranged from the best to the worst.
I would like to point out that Smokey Lash by Makeup Forever is my favourite mascara and I did have that but I ran out.
(Disclaimer: I know I don't need 5 mascaras, but I'm sure you will see why I don't use the last two. Plus I  wear mascara every day and like to switch it up so I feel that I can use the product up, and it won't be a waste :) )

(1) My favourite out of the ones I own at the moment - L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes (£11.29). The best for all round lengthening, voluming and thickening.

I like that the brush is big but tapered off at the end so it is still easy to use and to get into the inner corner with. It can seem a bit sharp when using it, but I still prefer it over all the rest.

As you can see, it gives a great effect!

(2) L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Waterproof Mascara (£11.29). I like this for lengthening and separating mostly but it does give some volume too! I'm not to fond of the blue packaging. However, I normally pick up the non-waterproof mascara that comes in a black and gold tube similar to this, which looks much nicer.

The brush is small like a comb. This is unlike most mascaras and is what initially drew me to the product. I love that it combs my lashes separate, and if you want a bit of thickening, you just apply to layers like I did :)

It's looking slightly clumpy here but that is probably because I rushed to put a second coat on. This is definitely a brilliant mascara. It's really black as well which I like.

(3) My newest purchase, and close third is Maybelline One by One Volum' Express mascara (£8.49). The only reason this one is third and not second is because I find it more of a natural every day mascara, not one that is really thickening. The others above I feel do almost everything. However, this IS the mascara I use every day and love dearly.

Another great brush. Tapered off at the end again for easy application and the dome shape makes it easy to get into the root of the lashes.

As you can see, it achieves a much more natural look whilst still keeping the gorgeous lengthening aspect.

(4) This is where standards start to slip. I'm not the biggest fan of this one which may surprise you - Maybelline Falsies Volum' Express Black Drama (£8.19). This is just find is to clumpy and not flattering at all which you shall see by my picture.

You can already see its clumpy on the brush with all the extra fibres matted together. I don't really like curved brushes either in my opinion.

Not the best look..

(5) Finally we come to the worst mascara I think I have ever brought. STAY AWAY from Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara (£6.99). Its hideous.

The brush is HUGE and ridiculously hard to work work. The formulation is really wet and just gets everywhere!

YUCK!!!!!

Hope this helped :) Sorry to end on such a yucky picture! Haha.

  2. Yeah you really should. I think they are the best by far! Or if you can get your hands on Smokey Lash by Make Up Forever, that's the best one!
