My Haircare Routine.

If you want to know how I keep my hair in good condition and protect it from heat, read on :)

First off, i wrap my hair in a towel and let it sit for around half an hour. If you have time to do this, I feel it soaks up more moisture and you can use less heat on your hair, which leaves it in better condition.
Before applying any heat I use the five products above. Here is a description of all the items and what I use them for. You may find this a bit excessive but I feel this routine works well for my hair, and using them combined, helps my hair to feel soft and healthy whilst keeping it protected from unnecessary damage.

(1) John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls (200ml) £5.29 (On offer at Boots - 2 for £7.50) - This product is more of a luxury really. It's not specifically designed for my hair type as I have straight/wavy hair. However I picked it up to try as I thought it might make my waves looked more defined. It didn't - however I still use it as a heat protectant. Plus it helps to keep my hair feeling soft.
(2) Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel Heat Protectant Spray (200ml) £4.07 (at Boots) - This is my main heat protectant spray. You can use it for blow-drying or flat ironing your hair. I spray this evenly throughout my hair after using the Dream Curls. It doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy or thick. As an added bonus, it smells nice too.
(3) Bed Head Superficial Smoothing Liquid (100ml) (£18.59 from Amazon) - I get this from my hairdressers. I have a feeling that it is becoming discontinued but you can still buy it in a few places. This smells AMAZING! It smells like lemon sherbet. I am addicted to spraying it, but if you spray to much it can definitely make your hair look greasy. A light mist of this through the lengths of my hair creates and mirror shine when blow drying.
(4) Charles Worthington Protect Thermal Straightening Balm (100ml) - I have a feeling that this is  discontinued as well. There are plenty of other dupes for it on the market however, so if you are interested int this kind of product then you can go and check it out. I use one pump of this and apply it through the ends of my hair to help my hair straighten easier using less heat. It also helps to hold the style for longer. The gel like substance also protects from UV damage and pollution. Winner.
(5) Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Oil (Sample size - 10ml) (50ml - £16.50 from - I got this in my last Glossybox and I have fallen in love. Though the bottle itself is a bit of a nightmare, the product works wonders. If you want to read more about this, click here for my in depth review.

The latest product I am planning on introducing into my hair routine will be in an upcoming haul and a review shortly after. Look out for it!
